The 3D Compare feature allows you to visually assess the difference between two versions of your 3D model. To utilize this feature, ensure the necessary versions of the model are imported and available in the Version History panel.
- Open the Version History panel on the left pane and select the model you wish to compare against from the list (Viewing). The version you are viewing is your base model.
- Select the actions menu (3 dots) to the right on the version of the model you want to compare to the base model and choose “Compare.”
- A Version Compare dialog will appear when you are in compare mode. It is repositionable and contains a color key, display toggle, and dismiss button
In the example below, we are comparing Version 3 (V3) of the model with Version 5 (V5). Version 3 is missing wheels but includes an armrest. Version 5 has the wheels but not the armrest.
In this comparison, the wheels added in Version 5 will be highlighted in green (indicating parts added), while the missing armrests will be shown in red (indicating parts removed). Parts of the chair that remain unchanged will be displayed in grey.
The toggle in the Version Compare dialog, allows you to show or hide the comparison. To change the base model, select a different version in the Version History panel. To change the version you are comparing to, repeat step 2 above. To dismiss this feature select the close button (X).
