Change the visibility of parts

You can change the visibility of one or more parts or subassemblies by making them hidden or visible. All visibility changes are shown in the viewing area and in the Assembly panel : it doesn't matter where you make the changes.

Viewing area

1. To hide or show a single part, hold your cursor over a part or select a part, and then right-click and choose one of the following:
   • Hide Part - Hides the single part.
   • Show Only - Shows only the single part and hides all other parts in the model.
2. To hide or show multiple parts, press the Control key (Command on Mac) as you click parts. Right-click and choose one of the following:
   • Hide Selected Parts - Hides all selected parts.
   • Show Only Selected - Shows only the selected parts and hides all other parts in the model.

Assembly panel

1. On the sidebar, click the Assembly , and then do one or more of the following:

   Hide or show	Do this in the Assembly panel
   A single part	Click the icon after the part name so that it changes to hidden  or visible .
   Multiple parts	Select the parts, right-click and choose Hide Selected or Show Selected. For more information about selecting multiple parts, see Select parts.
   Hide all parts except for the selected parts	Select the parts that you want to remain visible, right-click and choose Show Only Selected.

   When you hide a part in a subassembly, the icon associated with the subassembly (and any parent subassembly) changes to partially visible . This indicates that some parts in the subassembly are hidden and other parts are visible.

   Example: Under the Connections 1 subassembly, one part is hidden and the other parts are visible. Therefore, both Wind Turbine and Connections 1 are partially visible.
