When you open a model and inspect the BOM, if you see part entries that are gray, that means that the part’s geometry is missing. This could be because of any of the following reasons:
- The part geometry failed to load. If this is the case, you can re-import your model to see if the problem resolves.
- The part has a BOM line item but no geometry assigned to it.
- The part was not included in the files uploaded to Vertex.
- When the assembly was created in your CAD software, the part was either hidden or suppressed.
