Share a story – Vertex Help Center

Share story files so that you can collaborate with others. Only the story creator can share a story unless it’s in a Team Workspace.

Best Practice: If you want to share several files with a group of people in your organization, have your administrator create a Team Workspace to manage access to all of your files instead of sharing each story individually.

Note: Administrators in your organization control with whom you can share stories.

Share a story from its current location

Right-click a file, and select Share.
Type the email of the person with whom you want to share the file and press Enter. Continue to add collaborators.
Choose if you want to send email notifications to everyone or only to newly created users.
Click Done.

Share a story with members of a Team Workspace

Move the story to the Team Workspace. All members of the workspace have access to the story.
Tips:
- If you want members of the workspace to be able to add snapshots to the story, make sure you move the model used to create the story to the workspace too.
- All Team Workspace members can share stories if allowed by your Administrator.

Story Overview of an open story

Click Share.
Type the email of the person with whom you want to share the file and press Enter. Continue to add collaborators.
Choose if you want to send email notifications to everyone or only to newly created users.
Click Done.

Story comments

(Story creators only) Reply to a comment or create a new comment and @mention a person in your organization who is not yet part of the story.

From this location	Do this
File Manager	Next to the file that you want to share, tap More , and tap Share. Type the email of the person with whom you want to share the file and tap `Return`. Continue to add collaborators, and then click Done.
Story Overview of an open story	In the upper-right corner of the screen, tap Share . Type the email of the person with whom you want to share the file and tap `Return`. Continue to add collaborators, and then click Done.

The story is shared and appears for all collaborators either in their Shared with Me list or in their Team Workspace.
