As an Administrator, you can control whether or not original model files are stored in the system after being imported. This doesn’t impact users being able to open and view models. However, it determines if Connect Users can download the original model file or not.
- Sign in to Vertex as an administrator.
- In the upper-right corner, click your initials, and choose Settings.
- From the sidebar, click Settings.
Tip: Your organization’s name is listed at the top of the sidebar.
- On the Files tab, enable or disable Store Original Model Files.
- If enabled, Vertex begins storing original model files. All users in your organization with Connect User licenses can download model files located in My Workspace or in Team Workspaces. They cannot download model files from Shared with Me.
- If disabled, all original model files are no longer stored and are permanently deleted. This applies to both past and future imports. Models can be opened and viewed, but the original files are removed from the system. Nobody can download model files.

Important: If you disable Store Original Model Files and then choose to enable it again, only newly imported files will be stored and downloadable. Existing originals were previously removed.
