File Manager
The File Manager contains models 
, stories 
, folders 
, and workspaces 
. This is also where you import or download files. If you don't see an Import button, this means you have a Story User license. You still have full collaboration access to 3D stories, but you can't import data or create new stories.
- Use My Workspace
to manage your personal models, stories, and other files. You have the option to share individual files with people in your organization, but until you do, your files remain private. - Use a Team Workspace when a group of people in the same organization need access to the same set of models and stories. When you add a new model or story, it's automatically shared with the entire group. Ask an Administrator in your organization to create one, if needed.
- The Shared with Me workspace contains individual models and stories that are shared with you outside of a Team Workspace.

3D Viewer
The 3D Viewer appears when you open a model.
- From the sidebar, you can access the BOM
, Part Manipulation 
, Snapshots 
, Version History 
, and Settings 
panels. When you click the Vertex icon 
, you return to the File Manager. - Most of your model manipulation takes place using the model toolbar and the right-click context menu.

Story Overview and Story Viewer
The Story Overview (figure 1) is the landing page for a story, and the Story Viewer (figure 2) appears when you open a 3D snapshot in the story. Stories are available to all license levels and are used to collaborate with design teams, customers, OEMs, engineers, QA, etc.

- Review the story's title, description, and see the list of the other collaborators.
- Use the Snapshots and Attachments tabs to review the full story. When opened, 3D snapshots become fully interactive. If you're the story's creator, you will also have a Settings tab to define such things as units of measurement.
- Notice that the snapshots indicate whether or not you can use cross sectioning or measurement.
- If you see a Export Snapshot icon
, it means you can export the visible geometry in the snapshot.

- Examine and interact with the model. The story creator usually includes comments to lead the discussion.
- As you click through snapshots, notice that each snapshot's toolbar may look different depending on if the story creator enabled cross sectioning and measurement.
- When you're ready, add your feedback in the form of written comments, snapshots, pins, markup, and attachments. For example, if you're doing an onsite walkthrough with the physical product, you can take a photo with your phone and include it with your comments. You can also upload any written work instructions that could then be used to create interactive, 3D instructions.
