With Vertex’s Export option, you can choose to export the complete model as JT or STEP, or selectively display portions of the model to export. When you pick the Export option you will be given the option to Export to JT or STEP format, and provide a name for the exported model. If you have changed a part's appearance, or transformed some parts, your exported data will honor those changes, so basically WYSIWYG!
Before you pick the option to Export, prepare the data the way you want your final exported model to appear. Whether you want to simplify your model by hiding some data, or change the appearance, your exported model will reflect those changes.
- From the Assembly panel, pick the Export option.
The Export dialog will appear. - Choose your export format, JT or STEP and provide a name and pick the Export button.

The Activity drawer will appear and notify you when the file is ready for download. Just pick the icon to the right to download. You will also receive an email with a link to download the file.
